June
We Belong (Thor: Love and Thunder)
Dancing in the Dark (Ms. Marvel)
December
Don't Be a Lawyer (She-Hulk: Attorney at Law)
The Questions
Favorite
Slim pickings this year but I think my favorite is probably Dancing in the Dark, because New Jersey.
Least Favorite
I don't think any of them are least favorite! All of them did what I wanted them to do, more or less.
Most Successful
YouTube says this is Don't Be a Lawyer (which is particularly impressive considering it's only been out for three weeks as of this writing), and who am I to argue with YouTube. I wasn't really intending to make a comedy vid? But I guess I did.
Most Unappreciated by the Universe
By YouTube views, Dancing in the Dark. I wish I could say I was surprised.
Most Fun to Make
Dancing in the Dark just felt like things had clicked from the moment I started laying down clips. I know a part of that is because I used the Lucy Dacus cover, so thanks, Lucy Dacus.
Hardest Vid to Make
Probably Life During Wartime, since the show has so much in it and juggling all of the elements was tricky.
The Things I Learned This Year
Honestly I'm not sure I learned much this year, vidding-wise. But there's always next year.
Planning for Next Year
Well, this year I released the fewest vids annually since 2015, when I became a serious vidder. I have several ideas for vids! But some of them require a lot of prep work and I spent the last three months of the year buried in book revisions, which took up all the time that could have gone to vidding. My goal for next year is set at six vids again, and hopefully I'll be able to make some of the ideas that I didn't have time to get to this year.
