Tonight Spike, Dad and I went down to the Apple store and got my new computer, Rukia. She is a black 160 GB MacBook with an Intel processor and 2GB RAM and she is gorgeous. She & Ichigo work on the same remotes, so we were trying to manipulate iTunes on Ichigo but Rukia kept switching, and vice versa. So cute! She is awesome! I also got a new 80 GB video iPod (not sure what to name it yet) and a pretty sweet HP p-s-c which I intend to leave in the box until next fall. I had a shockingly bad sales experience at the Apple store, actually, though--if all Steve Jobs' minions are as clueless as the ones in Marlton, I feel bad for him, he needs better help. But, to sum up, I have joined the other side. High fives all around!

In other news, I am depressed about my lost Madonna track jacket. It disappeared June 9th and either it is somewhere in the house or someone nicked it out of the lost & found of the sushi restaurant we went to that night. Le sigh.

P.S. Figwit of "Lord of the Rings" fame is in the band The Concordes. How awesome is that?

UPDATE: So Apple managed to overcharge me $120. Slick, guys, real slick. Well, now I know what I'm doing tomorrow morning...Bah.

Rukia is pretty cool, but buying her was one of the biggest pains in the ass I've dealt with all summer. Tomorrow I have to go fight to get my money back. Argh.

Weird. I've always has great customer service at Apple...but then again I've mostly dealt with them in Japan. Good luck getting your money!

Yeah, they rung me up on the wrong suspended receipt, and then didn't 'return" all the items on the first one before giving me my real one. I'm glad to hear they're good in Japan, as I'll be dealing with them a lot.

And tasty cookies they are, too. If I wasn't shipping off to Japan in three weeks I'd've waited until October myself, as that's when the Macs start coming with the new Leopard OS, but the logistics of buying the comp in Japan just weren't practical. ^_^

Yeah, for me it's actually going to be really easy-- I can order the thing through the school, have them install everything I need and transfer my files for me, and be good to go. I am quite pleased about it. ^_^

Thanks. ^_^

Yeah, I'm pretty frustrated with myself. There is a small possibility, however, that it is misplaced somewhere in the house, most likely the garage. I am continuing to have faith, and also to search for a replacement on eBay.
