It honestly would not surprise me if my sister wrote this (taken from Neil Gaiman's blog):

Dear Mr. Gaiman,

With all due respect, what on earth are you thinking!

You sir, are an Englishman. Nevermind that you have seen fit to galavant over to the colonies for an adventure or three, you seem to have been taken in by those New World types.

I refer sir, to the fact that you seem to have GIVEN UP TEA!! Have you, at some moment in this overlong winter, taken leave of your senses? Think it through man! The answer is not less tea but MORE!! I suggest Assam, or failing that a pint of gin.

Yours worriedly,

Spike,
Oxford.
ENGLAND (having a cuppa).

More later from me, as always.

I am Elizabeth Bennet!

In Mr. Gaiman's defense, he lives in Wisconsin...I'm not sure it's not easy to find good tea there.

A pint of gin, lol. That sounds good right about now...

You can actually find good tea in WI. Mind you not great, but good. And you can always import tea. What I want to know, my true burning question is has he also stopped drinking coffee? Because really, tea can only get you so far.

I second the gin

No, he's gone cold turkey for his health. Screw that, pass the caffeine! And the gin!

Agreed. Coffee is good for you in some ways. I just ignore the parts when it's not good for you.
caffeine is wonderful.

Oh he can find tea. He gave it up for "health" reason. What is with this health I ask you.

Gin all round!

what!? Gave up tea for health reasons? Isn't tea kind of good for you? If he did it to off his caffeine habit, ok (my boyfriend is doing the same thing...he was hooked on Diet Mountain Dew), but still.

My friend Gretchen once had her boobs signed by Neil Gaiman. He's a lucky guy...and she's a lucky girl.

You know, my property professor is English... and whenever he's conceding that problems are difficult, he always says we have to just get a gin and tonic and a wet towel and DO them. We all get the reasoning behind the gin. Any idea what the towel is for?

I'd rather have tea myself...

Tea first, then a G&T. I have no idea about towels, the English are crazy. Even worse than the British.
