Date: 2010-03-12 06:05 (UTC)Hmm...I wonder if the angel is Kobato. I always thought that her being an angel would be too obvious, but the angel in the flashbacks does look like her-and falling out of a tree is definitely something Kobato would do!
I guess that if it is her, then she doesn't really remember.
But then, I also wonder if maybe she's just an expy of that angel-perhaps God made her in the angel's image or something to test Ioryogi. She's definitely female, and angels aren't supposed to have a gender. And Ioryogi doesn't really act like he's in love with her. He's built up affection for her over the series, but I wouldn't say he was IN love.
Ah...CLAMP finally give us some more jigsaw pieces of the past, but they don't make a pattern yet!

Date: 2010-03-12 09:46 (UTC)That probably doesn't make much sense, though. If she looks, acts, and sings like her, why wouldn't he realise? Unless he thought God had made her in the angel's image to test him, as you suggested, when that wasn't the case. But I'm clutching at straws there, I suspect. I'd love it if Kobato were the angel Ioryogi fell for, because it would explain a lot about her and their past (Kobato's Great Love Story would so involve falling out of a tree!), but I think you're right that he doesn't seem to harbour those feelings for her, so I can't see any obvious way it would work.
