Seen around and around: Post the names of all the files in your WIP folder, regardless of how non-descriptive or ridiculous.
the derailment, aka The Problem of Susan, mine (Narnia, the same story in two files, wtf)
The Winter King (Narnia, Edmund meets Father Christmas)
In Black Ink, Bright (Sherlock Holmes, sequel to Second Face)
T'Mir in San Fran (Star Trek TOS books, sequel to On Alien Seas, and Shores)
A Scandal in Admiralty House (Sherlock Holmes steampunk AU, #2)
Honi soit qui mal y pense (Sherlock Holmes steampunk AU, #3)
Nothing on Earth of Interest (Sherlock Holmes steampunk AU, #4)
Teahouse (Gmail teahouse theme)
The Skysong Limited (Tortall future fic)
There are some others in there, but none of them are going anywhere. Ask questions, if you have them; you shall be answered.

Date: 2011-02-14 23:41 (UTC)Day in and day out, Fox strategizes.
He knows that it looks, to watching eyes, as though he does the same thing at the same time every day, unthinkingly. But in fact, Fox is always thinking.

Date: 2011-02-14 23:45 (UTC)"There is a shard of Winter in your heart, Edmund Pevensie," Father Christmas told him, "and that is a wound that will never fully heal." Had Edmund not been quite so full of mulled wine, the cold star that winked in his chest at that moment might have chilled him to the bone; as it was, he shivered, even in his winter gear in the heated pavilion. "But scars ought to be borne honorably, and for you, Son of Adam, Winter is a very different thing than for the Witch."
And a bit later:
"She wanted to be Queen of Summer, if she could not keep Narnia frozen, but her heart was ice; she could not have ruled over Summer, not for long. And in truth, that is your sister's place."
Or basically, I could also title this, Tolkien + West in Narnia

Date: 2011-02-15 02:33 (UTC)No one dared remark on the fact that five of the coffins were draped in red and gold rather than the customary black. The undertaker had protested, but Susan had been adamant, and in the end he had bowed to her will. Susan had tried to forget, had tried to pretend it had only been a childhood game, but in the end she could no more forget than she could fly, and to continue to pretend otherwise at the last was too great an insult.
