As of today I am no longer cross-posting to LiveJournal. This is partly related to the in-progress and upcoming changes to the reading list styles and paid accounts, but also because I'm no longer comfortable having even my crossposts inflating LJ's stats. Given that I've discontinued commenting on here for a good long while, I suspect for most people this won't be a huge difference. For the future, you can find me at these places:

For those of you who like the old LJ experience, come to Dreamwidth! We have cookies, and it's really easy to set up an account. I will happily add you if you create an account and tell me who you are.

I've also done a major friends-list cut here on LJ. Partly I am reflecting the reality of who is and who isn't posting here anymore (though some people remain friended for sentimental reasons), and partly I am trying to minimize my reading here, again. I've cut basically everyone who I know crossposts from DW. Let me know if you are cross-posting and I will add you on DW and cut you here. (If I've cut you, this is why, not because I hate you.)

It's been a good long run with LJ, but I think the writing was on the wall a while ago; now we're just beating a dead horse. If you like LJ the way it used to be, move to Dreamwidth.

I technically have a DW account, same name, that I've never really used; had to make it for some fic exchange a while back. I've been contemplating (with great reluctance, and I'll probably cling to LJ as long as I have people here who comment on things) just using my AO3 account, though...I mean, I mostly post fic anyway. And LJ...we know it's withering, slowly. I've loved it here, but... *sigh*

I really like DW, and the community has definitely grown over the past year or so, even in the face of tumblr. It is really easy to cross post from DW to LJ, and I know a lot of people who still do it. (yes, this is me trying to get you to post from DW. :p ) But, it's definitely a personal decision.
