The translation by Carlosnet had F.W.R. saying, "I did not place that power within you for a purpose like this!" Is he referring to the feather (in which case both translations would be correct), or to the whole of Sakura's power?

It's my impression that FWR is referring to the whole of his Evil Plan--the reservoir, the feathers, the monkeying with spacetime. The Japanese doesn't contain "within you," so I'm pretty sure he's not talking specifically about a feather.

Honestly, FWR should've thought about the danger of the power beforehand. He can't complain now for what he did. I say let them completely destroy what's left of timespace and move on to something else once and for all. Everyone is always complaining about the danger it is to destroy it but they never get around to actually do it and that makes me all the more eager to see it done.

And we'd finally get some moving on in the story. I'm sick of waiting for something to happen, all they do is talk and have flashbacks. I really hope for complete destruction after all the waiting for nothing!

Ahem. Sorry, the Utena joke was just waiting there for me to make. I do agree, though, that total destruction doesn't seem like a bad alternative at this point, since look what a mess FWR's made of things trying to both have his way and preserve the principle.

And FWR's sense of entitlement is just ridiculously grating at this point, you're right.

The Utena joke is perfect for this! Like they say, you can't make an omelete without breaking some eggs. They already destroyed everything anyway, it's not like the destruction will stop if they sit around and wait.

Yuuko also said once that for every planet you destroy, another one is born, for ever action you take, something is made or something disappears. The universe has a way of taking care of itself by the laws of action and reaction. I'm sure that if they destroy every law, the universe will still reconstruct itself from the new laws afterwards. Of course, nobody would be alive to see the new begining but that's a small price to pay for the birth of a new universe, right? And maybe then we can get the end of this story which has become very boring already.

I don't know what you think. All I want is for this story to end once and for all, happily or tragically I don't care, I just want it over and finished.

Well, I do think our heroes are going to survive, though at this point I think everyone else surviving is very much up in the air. And I very much think you're right that the universe will take care of itself--I think FWR's key mistake is that he assumes that he has to (and has the right to) interfere in the order of things, when the order of things was going along just fine without him.

As I was saying to chibiyuuto, it's definitely time to put these two series to bed, awesome as they are. Hopefully both of them will be finished by the end of the year; as you say, they've totally been dragging.

In some ways I almost don't like reading the chapters as they come out; it's much more engaging to read the tankoubon than to have to keep waiting weeks, sometimes, between these short updates.
